Today, we’ll take a look at NFL teams that have an undefeated record when they play against another NFL team. All records are as of 01-01-2008. Because of new additions to the league (the Houston Texans in 2000, and the Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and Jacksonville Jaguars in the mid 1990’s), there are actually 18 current NFL teams that are undefeated against another NFL team.

Those teams are:

Jacksonville Jaguars
Baltimore Ravens
Cincinnati Bengals
Miami Dolphins
New York Jets
Houston Texans
New England Patriots
Washington Redskins
Philadelphia Eagles
Green Bay Packers

San Francisco 49ers
St. Louis Rams

So, which team has the most teams they are undefeated against?
Well, it’s kind of shady, but the Houston Texans have five NFL teams they are undefeated against. They are 3-0 vs. the Dolphins and Raiders, 2-0 vs. the Panthers, and 1-0 vs. the Cardinals and Bears. This is misleading though as 13 teams are also undefeated when playing the Houston Texans (Chargers, Ravens, Bengals, Jets, Patriots, Redskins, Eagles, Packers, Vikings, Lions, Seahawks, 49ers, and Rams).

So, not counting the Texans, who has the most teams they are undefeated against? Tied with three are the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Ravens are undefeated against the: Cowboys, Texans, and Giants.
The Patriots are undefeated against the: Ravens, Texans, and Jaguars.
The Eagles are undefeated against the: Ravens, Texans, and Jets.

The Ravens should be discounted as they have barely been in the league over ten years so have had less opportunity to lose games. The Patriots should be discounted as all three of the teams they are undefeated against have been in the league since 1995 or later. The Eagles are the only team with an undefeated record vs. three different opponents and at least one of the opponents has been in the league since 1970 (The Jets).

So, who has the most wins and is undefeated against a single opponent?

The Eagles have an all-time record of 8-0 vs. the New York Jets.
Second place goes to the Denver Broncos who are 7-0-1 all-time against the St. Louis/Arizona Cardinals.
