by @ . Filed under The Record Book

While Brett Favre is getting a lot of attention this year for joining the New York Jets, and he is continually being recognized as one of the

most successful quarterbacks in league history, there is at least one downer of a record that he owns.  Brett Favre is the career passing leader in terms of number of interceptions thrown in a career, 288 in his case.

Who is next on the list?  George Blanda with 277, followed by John Hadl with 268, Vinny Testaverde with 267, and Fran Tarkenton with 266.

But, who is next on the list and is still actively playing?  Kerry Collins who is on the Tennessee Titans roster and sits overall in 39th place on the career interception list with 172.  Collins is followed by Peyton Manning in 49th place, Jon Kitna in 53rd place, and Kurt Warner in 101st place.
