Patriots and Chargers Win On Monday Night Football

The first Monday Night Football double header is over and done with.

In the early game, the New England Patriots scored two late touchdowns to overcome a Buffalo Bills team that looked like they were on their way to their first win over the Patriots since 2003. The deciding play was a Bills fumble on a kick return. Final Score: 25-24

In the late game, the San Diego Chargers prevailed over the Oakland Raiders by the score of 24-20. Each team scored a touchdown inside the last 2:34 of the game to make it a pretty exciting finish.

A couple of long negative streaks continued on Monday. Buffalo had lost the last 11 contests against New England, now that streak is up to 12. Oakland had lost the last 10 games versus San Diego, and now that streak is up to 11. For the Raiders fans out there, the last time the team won their season opener was 2002. Yes, for seven years in a row the Raiders have started the season out with a record of 0-1.
