Jake Plummer had a very good NFL career, playing for both the Arizona Cardinals and the Denver Broncos. At the time of his retirement, he was still sought after by multiple teams and thought of to have quite a few years of effective play left. One of his best games though came in 2004 as the quarterback of the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons were both 5-2 when they met on Halloween in Denver. The Broncos would get the lead early and also be the last team to score in the game too. The Falcons though would score 31 unanswered points in the middle, and win the game by the final score of 41-28.
Jake Plummer though would have an incredible game, albeit in a losing effort. He would finish the game having completed 31 of 55 passing attempts for an amazing 499 yards and four touchdowns. One more yard and he would have joined an illustrious group of men in the 500 yard club. He would have probably traded them all though for a victory that day.
