Five Little Known Facts About Andy Dalton


Andy Dalton came out of TCU in 2011 as the second round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals immediately turned their offense over to the young gunslinger and they showed right away that he was just what the doctor ordered. Here are five fun little facts about this great NFL quarterback.

The most touchdowns Andy Dalton would throw in one game as a college football quarterback was four. He did this four times. He did this first as a sophomore in a win over Wyoming. He also did this one time as a junior in a win over New Mexico. He then did it twice as a senior, first in a win over BYU and then again in a win over San Diego State.

The First With Multiple

The first NFL player to catch more than one touchdown pass from Andy Dalton was Jermaine Gresham. He caught his first NFL TD pass ever and then a few weeks later also caught the fourth one he ever threw.

The First 300

Andy Dalton’s first 300 yard passing game came in his second game ever in the NFL. In that loss to the Broncos in 2011, Dalton completed 27 of 41 passes for 332 yards and two touchdowns.

Wrong Team!

The first NFL player to get an interception off of Andy Dalton was Carlos Rogers of the San Francisco 49ers.

One Third?

Four of Andy Dalton’s first dozen rushing touchdowns in the NFL came in games against the Baltimore Ravens.
