Joe Kapp: In The Movies

Joe Kapp was a popular American and Canadian football player who spent most of his professional career with the BC Lions of the CFL and the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL. He had a very successful college football career that saw him quarterback the University of California to the 1959 Rose Bowl. Joe Kapp made the Pro Bowl during his best season in the NFL which was 1969. After retiring following the 1970 season, which he spent with the Boston Patriots, Kapp was voted into both the College Football Hall of Fame as well as the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. Most people who witnessed Kapp play say that he was a different kind of quarterback, one who sought out physical contact and when running with the football would try to run over defensive players. After his playing days were over, Joe Kapp would put together quite a successful career as an actor, before returning to football eventually as a coach and general manager. Here is a look at some of his acting credits.
