Odell Beckham missed the first four games of the 2014 season with the New York Giants and still went on to have a huge impact on the team and the league. In fact, he did a number of things that no other rookie in NFL history had done before.
Some of the things Odell Beckham Jr. accomplished that no rookie had before include:
-Only rookie with over 75 receptions, over 1,100 receiving yards, and over 10 TD receptions in a season.
-Only rookie to have 90 or more receiving yards in five games in a calendar month (November of 2014).
-Only rookie in league history to have more than one game with over 10 receptions, over 125 receiving yards, and more than one touchdown in a season.
-On rookie in NFL history to have 12 or more catches, 140 or more receiving yards, and three or more TDs in a game.
-Only rookie to have consecutive games with 11 or more receptions, 130 or more receiving yards, and multiple touchdowns.
-Only rookie to have 10 or more receptions in consecutive games.
-Only rookie to have 11 or more receptions in consecutive games.
-Only rookie in league history with more than 50 receptions in home games in a season.
To say there are few rookie wide receivers who have turned in performances like Odell Beckham Jr. in 2014 is an understatement.
