What we’re looking for today is the quarterback that has thrown the most touchdown passes while playing for the most teams. To rank in the top all time list of touchdown passers in the history of the NFL obviously means the player has to be good. But there is something to be said for a player that spends his career going from team to team as well. So, who ranks the highest in touchdown passes while spending their career on the most teams?
Dave Krieg spent his nineteen year career on the rosters of six different teams. He spent the largest amount of time with the Seattle Seahawks where he also made the Pro Bowl three times. After leaving the Seahawks, Krieg would spend time as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and Tennessee Titans. He would finish his career with 261 touchdown passes which puts him at tenth in the all time TD passing list.
But, there is someone who can top Dave Krieg…
Vinny Testaverde’s career spans from 1988 through 2007, though he still could continue it longer too, during that time he has thrown for 275 touchdowns which places him 8th all time in terms of touchdown passes thrown. During his career he has managed to play for seven different teams including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and Carolina Panthers. He even had a second stint with the New York Jets.
