Jacksonville came into the NFL in 1995, the same year as the Panthers did, and since then have had some successful years in their short history. Here is a look at some fun facts about this great team.

1. The first player ever drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars was offensive lineman Tony Boselli.

2. One of the early members of the original ownership group that was intent on bringing NFL football to Jacksonville, Florida was future governor of Florida Jeb Bush.

3. Counting playoff games, the 1999 Jacksonville Jaguars team finished with a record of 15-3. All three losses came at the hands of the Tennessee Titans.

4. The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Miami Dolphins in the 2000 Divisional round of the playoffs by a score of 62-7. This was eventual Hall of Fame Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino’s final NFL game.

5. The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Carolina Panthers came into the league during the same season, 1995, officially though the Panthers are the 29th NFL franchise and the Jaguars are the 30th.
