The Miami Dolphins have long been one of the more successful franchises in the NFL. A team with that rich of a history must have had a hard time going 1-15 during the 2007 NFL season. But, where does this put them in terms of all-time win loss record?
For many years, based on win-loss percentage alone, the Miami Dolphins have been the most successful franchise in the NFL. Their high win-loss percentage was aided by their 1972 undefeated season, but also by the fact that they have seldom spent much time being one of the worst teams in the league. Following their disastrous 2007 season, the Miami Dolphins overall win-loss record includes 369 wins, 267 losses, and 4 ties. This is a win-loss percentage of .580. But, it appears that every advantage the Dolphins gained from their 14-0 1972 season has been undone by their 1-15 2007 season as the all-time win-loss standings have changed a bit. The Dolphins are still in first place but the Chicago Bears with an overall record of 677 wins, 491 losses, and 42 ties also have a win-loss percentage of .580 making it a tie for first place.
The third place team? With a win-loss record of 414 wins, 302 losses, and 6 ties… a win-loss percentage of .578, the Dallas Cowboys sit close behind in third place.
