The Most 1000 Yard Receiving Seasons In Minnesota Vikings History

The Minnesota Vikings have been one of the more successful franchises during their time in the NFL. Through all the years they have played, the team has seemed to put a decent priority on the passing game. A number of good, very good, and even great quarterbacks have come through Minnesota, including Fran Tarkenton, Joe Kapp, Tommy Kramer, Wade Wilson, Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon, Brad Johnson, Daunte Culpepper, and Brett Favre. Those quarterbacks though have thrown to some very good wide receivers too.

One of the best ways to measure the effectiveness of a wide receiver over the course of a full season is to see if he was able to pass the 1,000 yard mark. A 1,000 yard season by a receiver is looked upon as a very significant accomplishment. Who has the most 1,000 yard receiving seasons in Vikings history?

Only ten players have recorded 1,000 yard receiving seasons in Minnesota Vikings history, five of them only doing it one time for the team. Those one-timers in the 1,000 yard club for Minnesota include John Gilliam in 1972, Joe Senser in 1981, Sammy White in 1981, Nate Burleson in 2004, and Sidney Rice in 2009.
