The Green Bay Packers are one of the most storied franchises in the entire NFL. The team has seen some amazing highs and some long lasting lows too. Over the years, a great many of the all time great running backs have played for the Packers. Who though has led the team in rushing the most times?
Two players have led the Packers in rushing five different times. Tony Canadeo first led the team in rushing in 1943, and would then go on to do so again from 1946 to 1949. John Brockington would also lead the Packers in rushing for five seasons, he did so consecutively though from 1971 to 1975.
Another player on our list did one better than them though, leading the Packers in rushing during six seasons. Ahman Green was the team rushing leader from 2000 to 2004, and then again in 2006.
The record holders though are two men, both members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, who led the Green Bay Packers in rushing a total of seven times each. Clarke Hinkle would pull it off from 1932 to 1934, then again in 1936 and 1937, and he would do it back-to-back yet again in 1940 and 1941. Tying Hinkle is Packers great Jim Taylor, who led the team in rushing every year from 1960 to 1966.
