Running backs get a lot of focus in the NFL, and deservedly so. A good one can almost carry his team on his back all the way to the Super Bowl. There is a special place in the hearts of most fans for their team leader in rushing yards. But what about combining that production with durability? Who has led the New York Giants in rushing the most times?
-Three players have led the Giants in rushing during four seasons: Eddie Price (1950-52, 1954), Frank Gifford (1956-59), and Joe Morris (1985-88).
-Tuffy Leemans led the Giants in rushing during five seasons, in 1936 and then again from 1938 through 1940.
-Rodney Hampton led the Giants in rushing for six consecutive seasons from 1991 through 1996.
-The New York Giants player to lead the team in rushing the most times was Tiki Barber who did so for seven seasons, from 2000 through 2006.
