Yesterday we took a look at five quarterbacks who have passed for 500 or more yards in a game and still managed to lose.  There were five players who did it, here is that entry.

Today we see that there are also four quarterbacks who have done that and managed to also win the game.

Y.A. Tittle – New York Giants
October 28th, 1962

In a 49-34 victory, Y.A. Tittle completed 27 of 39 passes for 505 yards, seven touchdowns, and no interceptions.  This is one of the greatest quarterback performances in history.

Warren Moon – Houston Oilers
December 16th, 1990

Warren Moon still holds the record for most passing yards in one game thanks to this performance.  In a 27-10 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Moon completed 27 of 45 passes for 527 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

Boomer Esiason – Arizona Cardinals
November 10th, 1996

In a 37-34 win over the Washington Redskins, Boomer Esiason completed 35 of 59 passes for 522 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions.

Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers
December 20th, 2009

In a very close 37-36 win over the Green Bay Packers, Ben Roethlisberger completed 29 of 46 passes for 503 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.
