  • The London Monarchs were the only WLAF team to score more than 300 points in a season (305 in 1991).
  • London was involved in the only tie game in WLAF history, 17-17 after overtime against Birmingham.
  • The London Monarchs were the away team in the first game in World League of American Football history.
  • The London Monarchs are one of the three original European teams to have outlasted the WLAF, coming back to play in the World League and NFL Europe.
  • In 1991, when the Monarchs won the first World Bowl they defeated the Barcelona Dragons; interestingly, the Monarchs only loss that entire season had been an earlier match up against the Dragons.
  • The London Monarchs played their final season as the England Monarchs and held home games in various stadiums around England.

  • The Monarchs only lasted one season in the new NFL Europe before they were disbanded. The team was replaced in the league by the Berlin Thunder.
